Heart disease remains the No. 1 killer of women — claiming 10 times as many lives each year as breast cancer. And African-American women are 35% more likely than non-Hispanic white women to die from heart disease.

That’s why Baptist Memorial Health Care and Macy’s are presenting the eighth annual Women’s Heart Sunday inside all Memphis-area Macy’s stores. Baptist health care professionals will provide free heart risk assessments and other screenings.
