2008-2009 For the second consecutive year, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis has earned the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence Award™, putting it among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation for overall quality.
2009 In 2009, Baptist Memorial Health Care was the highest ranking Mid-South health care organization on SDI’s list of the Top 100 Integrated Health Networks. Baptist was ranked 39 on the list, which was published in Modern Healthcare Magazine.
2008-2009 In 2008, HealthGrades, a national, independent health care ratings company, ranked Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis among the top 5 percent in the nation for cardiac surgery, stroke, pulmonary, gastrointestinal and critical care. In addition, the hospital ranks No. 1 in the state for cardiac surgery, the treatment of stroke and gastrointestinal surgery, and it is the best in the Memphis area for pulmonary, vascular and critical care, according to HealthGrades.

1996 - 2008 Mid-Southerners select Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis for 13 consecutive years as their preferred hospital choice for quality in the National Research Corp.'s annual Healthcare Market Guide Study®. 

2008 Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women became the first hospital in Tennessee to be designated a Comprehensive Center for Women’s Care by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee in 2008.
2008 In 2008 Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women won a Diversity Memphis Award of Excellence.
2008 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis was named one of the 100 Top Hospitals: Performance Improvement Leaders by Thomson Reuters, a global health care information company in 2008.
2008 In 2008, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and Baptist DeSoto were two of only three Mid-South hospitals named a Best in Value by Data Advantage.
2008 Baptist Memorial Health Care and Grace Magazine’s Healthy Church Challenge program won Volunteer Memphis’ Outstanding Project of the Year Award at the 2008 Corporate Neighbor Awards.
2008 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County, located in New Albany, Miss., was voted Best Hospital (under 100 beds) by the Mississippi Nurses Association and the Mississippi Nurses Foundation in Feb. 2008.

2008 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis was the only area hospital recently to be named one of the 100 Top Hospitals: Performance Improvement Leaders by Thomson Reuters. The study examined the performance of more than 2,800 U.S. hospitals on a variety of clinical, financial, operational and patient safety criteria.

2002-2008 Baptist Memorial Health Care is among the top health care networks in the nation in surveys published by Modern Healthcare and conducted by Verispan. Baptist has been included among the Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Networks many times in the last decade. The list includes some of the most prestigious health care systems in the country.

2007 Eight hospitals affiliated with the Baptist Memorial Health Care system were among the 303 hospitals nationwide that received 2007 VHA Leadership Awards for Clinical Excellence in various areas. The VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence honors organizations that have scored 90 percent or above on national clinical care measures.
2006 Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women is one of only three hospitals in the nation recognized by the American Hospital Association for quality efforts, receiving a Citation of Merit as part of the AHA’s McKesson Quest for Quality Prize™.

2006 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton received the Premier Award for Quality from Premier Inc. for outstanding performance in maternal and neonatal care.

2006 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City receives a 2006 VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence in cardiac care.

2006 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon, Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County, Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi and Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto earn Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the American Association for Respiratory Care.

2005 Baptist Memorial Health Care is recognized by Storage Networking World, the world’s largest educational event on storage networking technologies, as a winner in the Innovation and Promise category in its Best Practices in Storage awards program.

2005 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City is ranked as one of the top 200 hospitals with the most complete and compliant coding practices in HSS Inc.’s new report, “Top 200 Coding Hospitals in the U.S.”

2005 Baptist Home Care & Hospice-North Mississippi earns a Gallup Award for Healthcare Excellence in 2005 for achieving and maintaining patient satisfaction.

2005 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City earns a Gallup Award for Healthcare Excellence in 2005 for achieving and maintaining patient satisfaction in its inpatient nursing units.

2004 Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women was named Memphis’ Best Place to Work for large businesses by the Memphis Business Journal.

2004 The QSource “Innovative Quality Series” Patient Care Improvement Collaborative recognizes Baptist for surgical infection prevention.

2004 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis earns a Tennessee Improving Patient Safety award from the Tennessee Department of Health, in conjunction with the Tennessee Improving Patient Safety State Advisory Committee. The award is given for the hospital’s Medical Response Team project, which established a process for early intervention and treatment of critically ill patients. The project results in better outcomes for these patients. 

2003 Hospitals & Health Networks names Baptist Memorial Health Care’s information systems department as one of the “Most Wired” health care networks in the country.

2003 Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto wins a “Best of the Best” honor for its Institute for Healthcare Improvement collaborative. The collaborative comprises hospitals all over the country. The Institute for Healthcare Improvement is a not-for-profit organization driving the improvement of health by advancing the quality and value of health care.

2003 Baptist’s Women’s Health Center is named a Center of Excellence for the Mammotome® Breast Biopsy System, an alternative to open surgical biopsy.

2000-2002 U.S. News & World Report names Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis among the Top 50 Orthopedic Centers in the nation.

2002 Modern Healthcare magazine ranks Baptist Memorial Health Care as the third largest non-Catholic religious health care system in the nation.

2002 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale receives the Tennessee Quality Interest Award.

2001 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis is the second place winner, and also receives honorable mention, for the National Hospital Pharmacy Quality Award given by Abbott Laboratories.

2001 The National Air Filtration Association presents Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis with the prestigious Clean Air Award for the hospital’s efforts to maintain high air quality during the transition of the hospital’s myelosuppression unit from Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center.

2001 The Mid-Tennessee Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors awards Bovis Lend Lease the 2001 Construction Award of Excellence for Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women.

2001 Baptist Memorial Health Care's information systems department ranks 11th in the health and medical industry category in Information Week magazine's national Information Technology Innovators survey and study. BaptistMD, which gives Baptist-affiliated physicians access to critical patient information online, real-time from their office, home or anywhere they have access to the Internet, is the featured product of innovation at Baptist.

2000 Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi is listed among the nation's top 100 orthopedic hospitals in the nation in the “100 Top Hospitals™: Orthopedic Benchmarks for Success” study conducted by the HCIA-Sachs Institute, an organization established to help improve the health care industry through improved information.

2000 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle receives a Special Recognition Award from Mississippi's agency for health care quality improvement, information and quality health care.

2000 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle receives a Certificate of Appreciation for field testing new emergency cardiovascular care materials for advance cardiac life support test.

2000 Baptist receives honorable mention for its medication system variance project. Baptist is among 10 honored out of more than 100 applicants for the National Hospital Pharmacy Quality Award, sponsored by Abbott Laboratories.

2000 Baptist Memorial Health Care receives the Riskmaster 2000 Industry Leadership Award for Healthcare & Hospitals at the annual Riskmaster Conference. The award recognizes Baptist’s use of Riskmaster software in collecting data associated with its medication system variance initiative.

2000 Hospitals & Health Networks names Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center as one of the Top 100 "Most Wired" Hospitals.

1999 U.S. News & World Report names Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center among the Top 50 Neurology Centers in the nation.

1998-1999 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle wins the Spirit of Continuous Quality Improvement award by Mississippi's agency for health care quality improvement, information and quality health care.

1998 Baptist's workers' compensation program, CompTrac, receives the Manpower Employment Services Safety Committee's Manpower Safety Partnership Award.

1998 Hospitals and Health Networks conductes a survey that showed that Baptist was ranked No. 37 out of the top 100 health care systems in the United States. BMHCC was ranked No. 1 one in the Mid-South.

1998 Baptist East (now Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis) receives Modern Healthcare's Quality Leader Award.

1998 Baptist Memorial hospitals in Huntingdon, Tipton County, Lauderdale County and Union City receives the Tennessee Quality Commitment Award.

2004 Baptist Memorial Health Care receives the Corporate Plus Award at the INROADS/Memphis annual awards reception at the National Civil Rights Museum. The award was for Baptist’s commitment to the INROADS process and mission of increasing the number of people of color in corporate management in the nation.

2000 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville receives the Relay for Life Rookie - Outstanding Newcomer of the Year award from the American Cancer Society.

2000 The American Heart Association recognizes Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle as Community Training Center of the Year.

2000 March of Dimes recognizes Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi for raising the most money for WalkAmerica, the March of Dimes' annual fund-raiser.

2000 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville rates as the Best Place of Employment according to a Prentiss County survey.

1999 The Tennessee Department of Human Services names Baptist Memorial Health Care its District 8 "Families First" Large Employer of the Year. Baptist receives the honor for its work with The Work Place, a local organization that participates in Families First, a statewide welfare-to-work program. Baptist has partnered with The Work Place to train and then hire Families First participants and other unemployed entry-level employees since 1997. Since May 1998, Baptist has hired 66 Families First participants for such positions as certified nurse assistants, personal care assistants, environmental service attendants, childcare providers and others. 

1999 The American Cancer Society recognizes Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi as its corporate sponsor of the year for the American Cancer Society's Tell-A-Friend Campaign.

1998 Physicians and employees enrolled in health care plans select Baptist and Physician's PPO as the top ranked PPO in the Memphis area. J.D. Powers & Associates and the New England Journal of Medicine conducted the survey as part of its MEDSTAT Quality Catalyst Program.

1998-2001 Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville has the Top Adult Money Raiser Team and the Team with the Most Walkers (51-300 employees) in the Prentiss County March of Dimes' "Walk America."

1999-2006 Baptist’s Corporate Communications team continues to win a variety of VOX awards at the Memphis chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s annual awards gala. The team has won the Silver VOX Award, which is awarded to the best public relations work in the Mid-South in a given year, five out of the last eight years.

2006 Baptist's Corporate Communications team receives 10 American Inhouse Design Awards from Graphic Design Magazine.

2006 Baptist’s Corporate Communications team receives the Baptist’s Corporate Communications team receives the Mississippi Hospital Association’s Best of Show for the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle bed tower grand opening.
