Susan Stralka Susan Stralka

Susan Stralka, a licensed physical therapist, has been with Baptist Rehabilitation- Germantown since 1997. Since joining the staff at Baptist Germantown, she has steered the growth of this 68-bed rehabilitation hospital into a regional leader in its field. Susan provides constant improvement processes for the inpatient and outpatient departments of her facility, as well as promoting personal growth and clinical advancement among her staff.

In 2004, Stralka accepted a three-year appointment to the board of the Germantown Chamber of Commerce. She is the presiding Tennessee state chair for the Arthritis Foundation and recently accepted Memphis' first-ever state award for outstanding volunteerism for the 2004 Arthritis Walk.

With the goal of providing the best rehabilitative care to patients, Stralka continually recruits and supports innovative clinical programs to benefit future patients. She holds a master's of science in physical therapy and is currently pursing her doctorate in physical therapy. A clinical instructor at the University of Tennessee, she has written articles on a wide variety of topics related to physical therapy for many national publications and health journals.

Rebecca DeRousse Rebecca DeRousse

Rebecca DeRousse joined Baptist in 2003 after a career with a local long-term care facility. DeRousse serves as the hospital's risk manager, as well as overseeing the departments of pharmacy, wound care, food services and environmental and plant operations.

DeRousse received a bachelor's of science degree in medical record administration from the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1980 and a master's degree in health administration from the University of Memphis in 1996. She is a certified fellow of the American College of Healthcare administrators and a registered health information administrator. In 2002, she was named one of Memphis Woman magazine's "50 Women Who Make a Difference." DeRousse is a member of the East Memphis Civitan Club.

Amy Barringer
clinical director

Amy Barringer has worked at Baptist Memorial Health Care since 1994, beginning her career as a staff physical therapist in the inpatient rehabilitation department at the Baptist Medical Center. Since that time, she has held a variety of management positions in acute care, skilled nursing, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

As clinical director at Baptist Germantown, she oversees the clinical management of the five free standing metro-Memphis physical therapy clinics located in Bartlett, Cordova, Crittenden County, Midtown and on Winchester, as well as having a leadership role in inpatient, outpatient and pediatric rehabilitation.

Barringer received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee, graduating with highest honors, and was awarded the outstanding student award for clinical and academic excellence. She is an active member in the Germantown Chamber of Commerce.

Brian Hogan Brian Hogan

Brian Hogan graduated magna cum laude from the Baptist College of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Brian has held a variety of positions at Baptist and most recently served as nursing director overseeing catheter lab services, the cardiac intervention unit, the neurology unit, dialysis services and cardiac monitoring at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Before that, Brian was nurse manager of the cardiac intervention unit and head nurse on the orthopedic/neurology unit at Baptist Memphis.

A member of the Germantown Chamber of Commerce, Brian is part of the second Baptist Leadership Institute class. The Baptist Leadership Institute provides extensive training for selected Baptist leaders.


Pam Hill Pam Hill
director of human resources

Pam Hill joined Baptist Germantown's staff in January 2003. As well as leading all human resources programs and services, she also chairs the hospital's patient care committee.

Hill began her career at Baptist in 1988 and was most recently Baptist DeSoto's director of human resources. Hill received her associate's degree in education from Northwest Mississippi Junior College and continued her studies through the University of Mississippi. She is working toward her bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership management through Union University. Hill is an active member in the Germantown Civitan Club.
