Baptist Rehabilitation-Germantown is committed to excellence in inpatient and outpatient neurologic rehabilitation. We strive to employ the latest evidence-based rehabilitation techniques, demonstrated by our employment of dedicated staff with specialty training and certification in both adult and pediatric neurologic rehabilitation, our commitment to an individualized therapy plan of care, and our investment in modern rehabilitation technologies.

The most vital component of any rehabilitation program is the knowledge base and effectiveness of the therapists themselves. For this reason Baptist Rehab-Germantown is committed to maintaining long-tenured and highly trained rehabilitation therapists equipped with the facilities, equipment, and technology needed to produce optimal outcomes.
Among the offerings at Baptist Rehab-Germantown are un-weighing treadmill systems and aquatic therapies for assistance with early ambulation, dynamic functional splinting programs for the upper extremity, and functional electrical stimulation programs for upper extremity, lower extremity and swallowing rehabilitation. Speech therapists have access to a comprehensive diagnostic department and onsite radiologists for modified barium swallowing assessments. Our Neurocom Balance master with long-force plate is a computerized system that provides objective assessment, feedback, and training for balance through a variety of functional movements and activities. And a computerized multicervical unit (MCU) allows for targeted assessment and strengthening of the complex system of muscles supporting the head and neck.
Through generous donations from the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation, Baptist Rehab-Germantown is proud to have implemented several firsts in neurologic rehabilitation in the Memphis area. We were the first to offer VitalStim therapy for swallowing, the first to offer Saeboflex dymanic splinting system for the upper extremity, and most recently, the first to implement the Bioness electrical stimulation program for the lower extremity as well as a comprehensive Bioness program for upper and lower extremity in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
