Baptist reserves the right to refuse to deliver any email that contains sexual content or images, racial or ethnic slurs, or off-color or discriminatory jokes or cartoons. Baptist also reserves the right to refuse to deliver any email that is sent to harass, intimidate, threaten, or stalk the patient, or which would be considered illegal for any purpose. Additionally, Baptist reserves the right to refuse to deliver any email that is sent to solicit the patient or which is meant to serve as an advertisement or promotion of any goods or services. The Email a Patient service checks for messages at 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Messages are hand-delivered to patients around 11:00 a.m. Any messages received after 9:00 a.m. will be delivered the following weekday. Emails received over the weekend, may not be delivered until Monday. There may be delays in delivery for emails received during holidays and email received after the intended recipient has been discharged will not be delivered.
