Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi joined the Baptist Memorial Health Care system in 1993, and, with 328 beds, is Baptist's largest regional hospital. More than 100 physicians and surgeons representing almost every medical specialty practice at the hospital, which offers a full range of comprehensive medical care to all ages. It is the seventh largest provider of medical and surgical services in the state of Mississippi and is a Level II trauma facility.

On May 23, 2005, Baptist Golden Triangle opened a $34 million bed tower, expanding and upgrading the hospital campus and enhancing patient accommodations. The new 167,000-square-foot structure added 151 patient rooms, each with private accommodations, and houses the hospital's advanced, new labor and delivery department.

Through its Baptist Centers for Cancer Care, Baptist Golden Triangle provides complete cancer services, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The BCCC-Golden Triangle also has a dedicated pharmacy and an on-site laboratory and medical technologist. Advanced technology, including a fully integrated linear accelerator with advanced simulation and 3-D treatment planning, helps physicians, nurses and staff deliver high-quality care to patients. BCCC physicians perform many types of procedures, including high dose rate brachytherapy. This procedure delivers radiation directly to and within tumors without affecting healthy tissue, and, in many cases is an effective alternative to conventional surgery. The treatment is administered over only a few days with very little discomfort to patients.

A wide range of cardiology services, from complete diagnostic services to open heart surgery, can be found at Baptist Golden Triangle. In addition, the hospital offers phase I, II and III cardiac rehabilitation, stress tests, digital nuclear cardiology studies, angioplasty, stents and heart catheterizations.

The hospital's women's services are dedicated to providing comprehensive care to women in all stages of life and health. Baptist Golden Triangle provides total care to new mothers and their babies. In addition to 10 labor-delivery-recovery suites, special C-section suites and a wellbaby nursery, the hospital offers a 24-hour baby hotline and childbirth and sibling classes. For women who need diagnostic testing, advanced technology such as mammography services, lunar bone densitometry and sophisticated ultrasound help ensure they receive accurate results.

Baptist Golden Triangle's Outpatient Pavilion is convenient for patients and physicians, and has comprehensive diagnostic imaging services. The pavilion houses a special procedures room, an open and closed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, a computer tomography (CT) scanner, radiographic and fluoroscopic suites, ultrasound and pre-admission testing.

Baptist Golden Triangle offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for a number of issues at Baptist Behavioral Health Care-Willowbrook. Treatment programs for mental and behavioral health issues, substance abuse and chemical dependency are a few of the many services Willowbrook provides.

April 4, 2007 – Through the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle is one of four Baptist Memorial hospitals to receive a Mammography for Underserved Women grant from the Tupelo, Miss., affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
