Susan M. Breeden Susan M. Breeden

Susan Breeden began her career with Baptist in 1988 as business office manager with Baptist Huntingdon and moved quickly to interim business office manager at Baptist DeSoto. After a brief absence, Breeden returned in 1993 as administrative assistant and chief financial officer for Baptist Huntingdon.

Breeden excelled and was named associate administrator at the hospital in 1996, and was then appointed to her current position as administrator and chief executive officer in 1997.

Breeden has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She’s a member of Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity and was listed in “Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities.”

Rita Foster
administrative assistant

Rita Foster began her health care career at the School of Radiological Technology at the former Baptist Medical Center. In 1974, she was named director of radiology for Baptist Huntingdon. Foster has served in numerous roles within the facility and system, including director of outpatient services, Joint Commission and quality coordinator, as well as serving as the West Tennessee market coordinator for radiology and home care.

Foster now holds responsibilities as administrative assistant and administrative director for home care and hospice, rehab and sports medicine and the hospital’s HealthPlex. She also is operational director for occupational and industrial health, community services and sales and marketing.

Foster is a certified managed care coordinator and is active in the community, serving as chairman of the Carroll County Health Council and as an executive board member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. She has held office in the District V Tennessee Society of Radiological Technologists and served on the board of directors for the Tennessee Hospital Association Home Care Alliance. She has a bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in health services.

Sharron Holland
director of financial services

Sharron Holland has worked at Baptist Huntingdon since 1979, in a variety of positions. Currently, as the director of financial services, Sharron is responsible for the coordination of the finances of the hospital, including direct responsibility for the accounting, business office, information systems, health information management and purchasing/materials management departments. In this role, she prepares monthly financial reports for the hospital, home care and hospice and the HealthPlex. Holland has a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Nina Smothers
ancillary services manager

Nina Smothers has been with Baptist Huntingdon since 1975. She was the first full-time pharmacist at the hospital and helped develop the pharmacy program, which she still manages today. Smothers began work with the hospital’s safety program in 1984 and is the current safety and compliance officer. In 1997, she earned administrative responsibility for the laboratory, respiratory services and radiology departments in addition to pharmacy services.

Smothers has led several community relations, employee training and motivation and Service First programs at Baptist Huntingdon. She is a member of the hospital’s speakers bureau and leads the Partners in Education program with the seventh and eighth grades of the Huntingdon Special School District. She has a master’s degree in business administration in health care services.

Sondra Kee

Sondra Kee has been with Baptist since 1991, first serving as director of dietary, medical management and emergency medical services for Baptist Huntingdon. In 1997, she was director of clinical services for the West Tennessee market, which included four Baptist hospitals. She returned to Baptist Huntingdon in the role of director of clinical integration and Y2K coordinator in 1999. Kee was named chief nursing officer with oversight of medical management and behavioral health services in 2000.

Kee earned associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Union University and her master’s in business in administration from the University of Dallas.
