The business development and managed care organization for NEA Baptist, NEA Clinic and several other northeast Arkansas independent physicians is known as NEA PremierCare.
Located at 1835 Grant Avenue, NEA PremierCare provides high quality, cost effective health insurance and contracting arrangements to area businesses. NEA PremierCare continues to expand its provider network and is increasing health care provider/health care purchasing relationships throughout northeast Arkansas. NEA PremierCare is under the direction of Mark Carpenter. Carpenter, director of NEA PremierCare, came to Jonesboro from Fort Smith in the summer of 2004. He has years of experience in contracting with employers and insurance companies, regional and national preferred provider organizations (PPOs), and physician and hospital network development. Carpenter also has a proven track record in sales and marketing of network services, member and provider services and occupational medicine. He has a great deal of knowledge in health education and wellness, medical management, and claims processing to bring to the northeast Arkansas health system family. "It is our mission to bring physicians and hospitals in a setting whereby they can make available high-quality, accessible, and affordable health care insurance options to employers of northeast Arkansas," said Carpenter. Carpenter added that the partnership NEA PremierCare has with NEA Baptist, NEA Clinic, and local physicians throughout the region will translate into better health care choices for the community. NEA PremierCare is the physician/hospital network affiliated with NEA Baptist, NEA Clinic, and independent physicians throughout northeast Arkansas. They represent more than 205 physicians, area hospitals, and ancillary providers throughout the region.
