Zach Chandler Zach Chandler

Zach Chandler joined Baptist Memphis in September 2009 as the administrator and CEO. He returns to the Baptist system after spending two years as the president of Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas.

Before moving to Dallas, Chandler spent 10 years with Baptist in a variety of positions. He served as an administrative director and administrative fellow for the system and also was the administrator and CEO of three Baptist Memorial hospitals.

Chandler attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has his master’s degree in health administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Dana Dye Dana Dye

Dana Dye joined Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis as the chief nursing officer in July 2007. She came to Baptist from Renown Health in Nevada, where she served as chief nursing officer for the multihospital system. She also served as chief operating officer for the Regional Medical Center, Renown Health’s flagship facility. Before joining Renown Health, Dye served as regional CNO for Health Midwest in Kansas City, Missouri for 18 years.

Dye received her nursing degree from Westark Community College (now the University of Arkansas Fort Smith). She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Webster University and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She began her career as a licensed practical nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center.

She recently was named Northern Nevada Nurse Leader of the Year by the Nevada Hospital Association and also served on the Governor’s Commission for Health Care in Nevada.

Dana Dye Cyndi Pittman

Cyndi Pittman is Baptist Memphis’ chief financial officer. Pittman is responsible for several departments, including materials management, patient financial services, patient registration, health information management, documentation review, financial planning and analysis. She also serves as the chief privacy officer and compliance officer for Baptist Memphis.

A Baptist employee since 1989, Pittman was the CFO for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center and worked in the finance department at Baptist’s corporate building before moving into her current role. She earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Memphis.

Johnny Stanford Johnny Stanford

Johnny Stanford is an assistant administrator for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. In this role, he supervises the hospital’s radiology, physical therapy, neurology, pulmonology, audiology, facility services, safety and food and nutrition departments. He also is responsible for the Plaza Diagnostics Pavilion, where many of Baptist Memphis’ outpatient services are located, as well as echocardiogram and electrocardiogram services.

Stanford’s Baptist career began at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City in Union City, Tenn., where he served as director of radiology. He later became an assistant administrator at Baptist Union City and the system regional director for radiology for Baptist Memorial Health Care. After seven years in those positions, Stanford was promoted to administrator of clinical integration, which put him in charge of pharmacy, radiology, radiation therapy, laboratory and respiratory care services for all the hospitals in the Baptist Memorial Health Care system. He will keep that job in addition to his assistant administrator position at Baptist Memphis.

Ric Ransom Ric Ransom, assistant administrator

As an assistant administrator at Baptist Memphis, Ric Ransom supervises the hospital’s skilled nursing facility; institutional review board; the Baptist Centers for Cancer Care-Memphis, the hospital’s radiation therapy center; rehabilitation services; food and nutrition services; and the graduate medical education department. He also leads Baptist Memorial Health Care’s strategic planning efforts for its cancer services. Before coming to Baptist Memphis, Ransom held leadership positions at several hospitals, including vice president of operations for Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga.; vice president of support services for Wellstar Health System in Marietta, Ga.; and vice president of Baylor Medical Center at Irving in Irving, Texas.

An attorney, he began his health care career as assistant general counsel for Eastern Health System in Birmingham, Ala. Ransom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Morehouse College in Atlanta; a law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Ala.; and master’s degrees in business administration and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Chris Patrick Dr. Chris Patrick

Dr. Chris Patrick is the chief medical officer for Baptist Memphis. Among his responsibilities are monitoring physician satisfaction, helping develop new physician leaders, supervising performance improvement programs and assisting with physician education.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Clemson University, he earned a Master of Science degree in immunology and microbiology as well as a Ph.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed a two-year research postdoctoral fellowship at The Rockefeller University in New York City.

Dr. Patrick also earned his medical degree from MUSC and performed his pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center, University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Patrick then completed a pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is board certified in pediatric infectious diseases and has published three textbooks and more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.

A former deputy chief medical officer and vice president for clinical services at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Dr. Patrick was the chief medical officer and senior vice president for medical & academic affairs at Miami Children’s Hospital before coming to Baptist Memphis.
