 Baptist North Mississippi Welcomes New Pulmonologist Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi recently welcomed pulmonologist Dr. David Reed to its medical staff. Reed recently joined Dr. Jeffrey Evans of the Pulmonary Associates of North Mississippi. Reed specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the lungs and treats sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea and insomnia. A native of Edwards, Miss, Reed earned his undergraduate degree from the Mississippi College in Clinton. He earned a medical degree from the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. Reed completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonology, critical care and sleep medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Reed is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
