Baptist North Mississippi Welcomes New Emergency Medicine Physician

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi recently announced the addition of emergency medicine physician Dr. Jill Brown to its medical staff. Brown joined Drs. Timothy Lamb, Travis Yates, Scott Sanford and Jason Waller of United Emergency Services.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Brown received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Mississippi. She earned a medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson and completed a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Brown is board-eligible by the American College of Emergency Physicians and is a member of the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.

Baptist North Mississippi Welcomes New Nephrologist

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi recently welcomed nephrologist Dr. Morris Hamilton to its medical staff. Hamilton joined Drs. Thomas Wooldridge, Martin Lee, Gregory Hale, Tzonko Milev, Kenneth Kellum and Jonathan Massey of Nephrology and Hypertension Associates.

A native of Gulfport, Miss., Hamilton received his undergraduate degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at Miriam Hospital, which is affiliated with Brown University in Providence, R.I. He completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

Hamilton is board-certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Before coming to Oxford, he was in private practice in Gulfport.
