 Prenatal Classes Childbirth classes are offered through out the year and may be taken as a series or as individual classes. Topics include:
Maternity Exercise Classes Prenatal Yoga These classes are offered weekly at the Baptist HealthPlex. Individual class sessions or a HealthPlex membership may be purchased. Family Classes Sibling Class This special class is designed to prepare soon-to-be big brothers and sisters for accepting a new family member and is open to children ages 3–8. Safe Sitter The purpose of the safe sitter class is to educate sitters on how to treat babysitting as a business, first aid and safety training, infant and child CPR and dealing with emergencies. Safe Sitter is open to students ages 11-13 and is offered periodically throughout the year. For more information, please call 662-513-1602. Support Groups Reach to Recovery Breast Cancer Support Group First Monday, most months, 6:30 p.m. This American Cancer Society-sponsored support group for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, meets at Azalea Gardens Retirement Community, 100 Azalea Drive, Oxford, Miss. Look Good…Feel Better Breast Cancer Support Group Every other month Baptist Center for Cancer Care offers the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good...Feel Better” program every other month. The program is free. Pre-registration is required. Please call 662-844-8544, ext. 222 or 662-513-9612 for schedule. Smoking Cessation Classes Weekly, Wednesday mornings, call for time This six-week smoking cessation session is held at Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi, 2301 South Lamar Blvd. in Oxford, Miss. Anyone having a sincere desire to stop smoking or stop using smokeless tobacco products is welcome to participate in the one-hour classes. All must participate in an individual one-hour intake session before starting the program. For schedule and to register, please call 662-513-1506.
