 Childbirth Classes Early Pregnancy Class This class is designed for first-time mothers who are one to 20 weeks along. Cost is $10; scholarships are available. The class is offered on the first Saturday of every other month. For schedule information or to register, please call the Education Department at (662) 232-8113. Breastfeeding Class Instructors explain the basics of breastfeeding benefits for mother and baby. They also give resources for breastfeeding support. Cost: Free Class is held on the 3rd Friday of every month at noon in the nursery classroom on the fourth floor of the hospital.  Top of Page
Family Classes Sibling Class This special class is designed to prepare soon-to-be big brothers and sisters for accepting a new family member and is open to children ages 3–8. For more information, please call (662) 232-8113. Infant CPR The Infant CPR class teaches you how to administer CPR to infants in the event of an emergency. Cost: $10. Safe Sitter The purpose of the Safe Sitter class is to educate sitters on how to treat babysitting as a business, first aid and safety training, infant and child CPR and dealing with emergencies. Maternity Exercise Classes Prenatal Yoga These classes are offered weekly at the Baptist HealthPlex. Individual class sessions or a HealthPlex membership may be purchased. For schedule information, please contact the HealthPlex at (662) 232-8788. Mommy and Me Shed those extra pounds while stimulating your baby’s developmental growth. Mommy and Me is open to moms after six-week postpartum check-up. Classes are offered weekly at the Baptist HealthPlex. Individual class sessions or a HealthPlex membership may be purchased.
