Hospital Names Human Resources Director Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City recently named Nicky Thomas as director of human resources. Thomas previously served as director of human resources at Heckethorn Manufacturing in Dyersburg, Tenn. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Memphis. Thomas resides in Newbern, Tenn., with her husband David and sons Evan and Ty.  Assistant Administrator joins Baptist Union City Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City has named Kyle Armstrong as its new assistant administrator. Kyle Armstrong began working as assistant administrator at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City on Feb. 2. Armstrong attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he received his bachelor’s degree in public relations and business administration. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and will receive a second master’s degree in health care administration from UAB in May 2009. He recently completed an administrative fellowship with Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Memphis. “I look forward to working with and learning from the team at Baptist Union City. This hospital has a wonderful reputation throughout the Baptist system and the region,” Armstrong said. “My wife Tabitha and I are enjoying our new home in Union City.” Administrator and CEO Derick Ziegler said, “We are excited to have Kyle join the leadership team at Baptist Union City. He is a great addition to our hospital and community.”
