 Where Seeds of Knowledge Grow into Wisdom for Healthy Living
Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women is home to the Dr. Sam P. Patterson Library, open to physicians, patients, staff and the community. The library offers more than 2,000 items on topics important to women and their families, ranging from fitness, heart health, pregnancy, parenting, managing stress, men’s health, relationships, menopause, wellness, disease prevention and diabetes. The collection includes books, video and audiotapes, CD-ROM programs, pamphlets, periodicals, as well as access to the Internet. Three private stations for viewing videos or Web sites are also available. The library also offers weekly health seminars led by local health care professionals on subjects that are of interest to you and your families. You can also use the library as a resource for speakers on health and wellness subjects. And a number of support groups are available through the library.
Children are welcome and have their own learning space. A convenient drop box for returning books to the library is located at the entrance drive of the Women's Hospital.  Top of Page |
