This recipe is fast and simple to make yet is quite elegant.
20 sea scallops
1 teaspoon canola oil
Coarsely cracked black pepper
Salt
Rinse the scallops and pat dry between paper towels. Warm the oil in a large no-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Coat the scallops with the pepper and salt to taste. Add to the pan and cook for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, being careful to neither overcook nor undercook. Serve immediately. Preparation and cooking time: 15 minutes.
