Beautiful Bundles (new mom support group)
Available: DeSoto, Baptist Women's. Facilitated by registered nurses with backgrounds in mother-baby care, this free support group provides accurate and reliable information on sleeping issues, breastfeeding, safety and caring for your newborn or infant. Moms also have the opportunity to bond with other new moms, share experiences and gain reassurance. |

Breastfeeding Class
Available: DeSoto, NEA Baptist, North Mississippi, Union City, Union County, and Baptist Women's This single-session, two-hour class teaches expectant moms the basics of how to breastfeed successfully, as well as discussing the advantages of breastfeeding. |

Back-to-Work Breastfeeding Class
|
Available: Baptist Women's Perfect for postpartum moms, this class helps prepare moms to go back to work while breastfeeding. Topics include pumping and storing breast milk, types of breast pumps, maintaining a good milk supply for the baby and how to introduce the bottle. |

Expectant Parents Class
|
Available: Baptist Women's Learn all the baby basics in this three-hour class, including infant care, infant safety, infant CPR and surviving the first few weeks. |

Early Pregnancy Class
|
Available: North Mississippi This class is designed for first-time mothers who are one to 20 weeks along. Cost is $10; scholarships are available. |

Grandparents Class
|
Available: Baptist Women's An update on childbirth and parenting practices, this two-hour class gives grandparents tips for helping new parents and providing infant care. |

Lamaze Refresher Class
|
Available: Union City, Baptist Women's Designed for couples who have previously attended childbirth classes and are planning a natural delivery, this is a great opportunity to review the labor process and breathing and relaxation techniques. |

 |
Mommy and Me Exercise
|
Available: North Mississippi Shed those extra pounds while stimulating your baby's developmental growth. Mommy and Me is open to moms after six-week postpartum check-up. Classes are offered weekly at the Baptist North Mississippi HealthPlex. Individual class sessions or a HealthPlex membership may be purchased. |

No Frills/Just the Facts
|
Available: North Mississippi This question/answer format class is ideal for a refresher class or someone that just has certain questions about the practices at Baptist North Mississippi. Infant CPR is taught at the end of the class. |

One-Day Childbirth Class (Saturday)
|
Available: DeSoto, North Mississippi, Union County and Baptist Women's An alternative to the traditional prepared childbirth course, this class is an excellent option for those who can’t attend weeknight sessions or have busy schedules. This one-day session covers the same information provided in the traditional classes, along with a tour of the labor and delivery unit. |

Prepared Childbirth Class
|
Available: Golden Triangle, NEA Baptist, North Mississippi, Union City, Union County and Baptist Women's This four-week series addresses the basics of childbirth – labor, pain management options and basic breathing and relaxation techniques – as well as offering a tour of the labor and delivery area. At the end of the series, attendees may elect to take an additional class that teaches advanced breathing techniques, massage therapy and comfort measures for those planning to have a natural delivery. |

Relaxation Class
|
Available: North Mississippi The class teaches the partner how to provide a relaxing prenatal massage and acquaints the expecting mom with prenatal yoga, providing a foundation for basic relaxation. |

Sibling Class
|
Available: North Mississippi, Union County and Baptist Women's Perfect for 3- to 10-year-olds, this class helps prepare children for the arrival of their new brother or sister. This two-hour interactive session benefits parents, too, providing suggestions to help them make the transition easier. |

SuperSitters Class
|
Available: DeSoto, Golden Triangle and Baptist Women's Enroll your preteen or teen in this all-day session, which provides information on being a responsible baby-sitter, basic first aid, appropriate play and discipline techniques, and safety instruction. |
