Memphis, Tenn., Apr. 26, 2002 - In honor of Mother's Day, Sprint PCS has invited the Baptist Women's Health Center's mobile mammography unit to visit its store at 3551 Riverdale Road, Suite 101, on May 10, where Mid-South women will have the opportunity to get their yearly mammograms in a matter of minutes.

The mammography unit will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the procedure should take about 15 minutes. Anyone interested in having a mammogram should call (901) 227-9650 to make an appointment. Participants should also bring their insurance cards with them to their appointment.

Giveaways and health information also will be available at the unit. Anyone stopping by the event will be treated to mini-massages, compliments of the Baptist Wellness Complex and the Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women. Also, a certified genetic counselor from the Baptist Cancer Institute will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to discuss hereditary cancer and the importance of genetic counseling and testing.

As well as making frequent stops at local businesses and organizations, Baptist's mobile mammography unit is an integral part of an outreach program that provides mammography screenings, follow-up care and breast cancer education for medically under-served women in the Mid-South.
