Memphis, Tenn., Mar. 7, 2004  - Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women is accepting nominations for its Inspirational Woman Awards, which will honor six women who have made positive contributions to the health and well-being of others.

Baptist is looking for “quiet” Mid-South heroines who have not received several other forms of recognition and who serve as role models for others.

Nominations should explain how the nominee has motivated and encouraged others, as well as including an essay with specific examples. Baptist Women’s Hospital will announce the winners in May and feature these women and their stories in a fall issue of Southern Women magazine.

Deadline for submissions for the Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women Inspirational Woman Awards is Friday, March 26. Nominations should be submitted by mail or fax to Inspirational Woman Awards, Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, 6225 Humphreys Blvd., Memphis, Tenn. 38120 or (901) 227-9105.

Nomination forms are available at select physicians’ offices, Goldsmith’s Oak Court and Baptist’s Women’s Hospital, as well as online at www.baptistonline.org. For more information about Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, please call (901) 227-9000 or visit www.baptistonline.org.
