Memphis, Tenn., May 12, 2004 - Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville will offer two SuperSitter courses for teens on June 11 and July 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The course will cover baby-sitting issues, including the responsibilities of baby-sitting, safety, first aid instructions and appropriate play and discipline. The course is open to boys and girls ages 11 and older.

Each participant will receive a folder with guidelines for baby-sitting, as well as instructions on making a first aid kit. Participants will engage in hands-on baby-sitting practices with dolls. A certified childbirth and family education educator will teach the course, which costs $35.

Please call (901) 226-5764 to make reservations for the SuperSitter course to be held in the education classroom at Baptist Collierville, 1500 W. Poplar. Baptist Collierville also offers childbirth classes, open to any expectant parents that will be delivering their baby at any Memphis-area Baptist hospital. And Beautiful Bundles, a support group designed for new moms with infants, is offered twice a month at the hospital.
