- Baptist Memorial Health Care recently promoted David Barham to vice president of operations finance.
Barham has served as chief financial officer of operations finance for the organization since February 2003. His responsibilities will remain overseeing finances for all of Baptist’s 15 hospitals, as well as the Baptist Minor Medical Centers and Baptist Trinity Home Care & Hospice. Barham will continue to report to the Baptist regional and metro market leaders, as well as to Don Pounds, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Baptist.
A Baptist employee for 12 years, Barham has held several leadership positions throughout his tenure. He began his career with Baptist as the chief financial officer at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City in 1993, then became chief financial officer for the West Tennessee market in 1998. Barham also served as regional chief financial officer for approximately two years.
“David’s promotion to vice president of operations finance is well-deserved,” Pounds said. “He has distinguished himself as a dedicated and hardworking employee, and will continue to perform as an excellent leader.”
Originally from Union City, Tenn., Barham is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, earning his degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Barham and his family currently reside in Cordova, Tenn.
