- Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville's rehabilitation department now is offering physical therapy services at its satellite clinic at the DeSoto Athletic Club located at the Collierville Community Center at 440 West Powell.
The clinic offers a variety of physical therapy services on a physician referral basis. Patients can receive physical therapy to help them recover from an injury, illness or surgical procedure. Therapy also is offered to help patients deal with pain or relearn how to perform functions on the job.
“We are excited that the DeSoto Athletic Club in Collierville has given us the opportunity to partner with them and provide quality care for the residents of Collierville and surrounding areas,” said Bob Gwartney, director of ancillary services at Baptist Collierville.
Monica Baker is the full-time physical therapist at the satellite location. Baker also is a certified athletic trainer and offers specialized approaches to sports injury rehabilitation for adults and children. The goal of the staff is to restore patients to their maximum functional ability and independence using the advanced therapy techniques and equipment.
