COLLIERVILLE, Tenn., June 15, 2009 – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in CT scan as a result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.
The ACR awarded the accreditation to Baptist Collierville after a peer-review evaluation was conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are considered experts in the field. They assessed the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment and then reported their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which provided the practice with a comprehensive report.
“Quality patient care is a high priority at Baptist Collierville,” said Glenn Baker, administrator and CEO of Baptist Collierville. “The ACR accreditation will provide our patients with a high level of confidence in our abilities to provide them with high-quality care with a dedicated staff and advanced equipment.”
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicists and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
