2006 Memphis Walks for the Homeless
Baptist Memorial Hospital - Community & Counseling Programs

Daily Bread
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:14

The 17th annual "Memphis Walks for the Homeless" was held Sat. Oct. 7, 2006, starting at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church in Memphis, Tenn. The funds raised by the event benefited the Greater Memphis Interagency Coalition for the Homeless, an organization that provides funding and resources to agencies that serve the local homeless population including Baptist’s Operation Outreach health care van, our signature community outreach program. Baptist colleagues and students of Baptist College of Health Sciences were encouraged to participate and designate their contributions to the health care van. As a result of the overwhelming response from Baptist colleagues and students, Baptist Operation Outreach was the largest fundraiser in the history of the walk raising nearly $4,000 total.
