Proverbs 10:29

Baptist offers a variety of educational programs, including the Baptist College of Health Sciences, Continuing Medical Education for physicians and health and wellness classes and seminars for the public.

Baptist College of Health Sciences is a private, coeducational, urban, specialized institution. The College focuses on the preparation of health care practitioners and offers areas of study in nursing, radiological sciences and respiratory care. Grounded in Christian principles, the College seeks to attract diverse students who demonstrate a commitment to spiritual values and ethics, academic excellence and lifelong professional development.

Continuing Medical Education offers programs, products and services by the Baptist College of Health Sciences. Since Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is one of the largest health care providers in the country, and its medical staff's expertise, knowledge, skills and reputation exceed its Mid-South boundaries, various CME activities are targeted to regional, national and international audiences.

Continuing Education at the Baptist College of Health Sciences provides quality education to meet the lifelong learning needs of health care professionals.

Baptist Memorial Health Care is offering educational grants that cover up to two years of paid tuition for students already accepted to qualified nursing and allied health programs (see related news release). Upon graduation, students will receive an employment opportunity with Baptist, including excellent pay and employee benefits. These educational assistance grants are open to nursing and allied health students and Baptist employees and their family members.

The Pharmacy Residency Program offers residents have the opportunity to provide a wide range of advanced clinical services, including patient-specific pharmacotherapy, clinical consultation (including pharmacokinetics), and provision of drug information to patients and health care professionals. The program provides structured opportunities for independent learning through various clinical rotations.

The Radiology Residency Program offers an exciting environment for progressive post-graduate radiology training in a program in an integrated system of hospitals and ancillary patient-care settings. The program provides structured opportunities for independent learning through various clinical rotations.

Health and wellness seminars for the public are sponsored by the Baptist Hospital for Women and other affiliates. You will find a variety of topics on heart health, exercise, nutrition and even stress-reduction activities, such as gardening, in the Baptist Calendar of Events.

Childbirth classes offered by the Baptist Hospital for Women will help expectant mothers, along with fathers, siblings and grandparents, prepare for the new arrival.

Numerous support groups for adults and children provide a safe place for mutual support for those coping with such issues as a life change, an illness or the loss of a loved one.
