Baptist Trinity is an industry leader in providing high-quality services in Memphis and throughout Shelby and Fayette Counties, serving the community as a non-profit home care, hospice, and health care services agency.
Home Care Services Baptist Trinity Home Care offers skilled, compassionate care to patients in the comfort of their own homes on a "visit" basis. Registered nurses; licensed practical nurses; certified nursing assistants; medical social workers; and physical, speech, and occupational therapists are available, along with daily home monitoring services through the HomMed Health Monitoring System.
Hospice Services Baptist Trinity Hospice provides comprehensive services to terminally ill patients and their families in their homes. Hospice uses an interdisciplinary team approach guided by the patient’s attending physician and hospice medical director. This team often includes registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, a chaplain, physical therapists, bereavement counselors, a speech pathologist and volunteers.
Where hospice services are offered:
- In the patient’s home
- In a skilled nursing facility
- In a general inpatient unit in a hospital
- In the Baptist Trinity Hospice House, a residential hospice
Caregiver Education & Support Services Baptist Trinity Home Care & Hospice has developed a family caregiver resource, to help the seriously ill and their families learn how to live as comfortably as they can within the context of their disease.
At www.seriousillness.org/memphis caregivers can find help with a variety of topics including medical and physical aspects of care, emotional and spiritual issues, as well as legal and financial decisions. We even have a listing of local, state, and national programs that offer services and support.
Bereavement Services The first comprehensive bereavement center for children, adolescents, and adults in the region, the Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief provides support for individuals who are grieving the death of a loved one. The center allows them to share their experience with others as they move through the healing process—all in a therapeutic environment.
Volunteer Program Hospice volunteers can serve in many ways by offering companionship and providing support to family members. They work behind the scenes by answering phones, making comfort baskets, reading books to patients, running errands, or just holding a hand.
